
A viral claim has been circulating that just five minutes of sex equals an hour at the gym in terms of physical benefits. While it’s true that sex can burn calories and engage multiple muscle groups, comparing it to a full workout is a stretch.

Experts say that while sex can provide a decent cardiovascular workout and improve flexibility, it doesn’t replace the benefits of a complete fitness routine. “Sex does engage muscles and boost heart rate, but it’s not the same intensity or duration as a gym workout,” says fitness expert Mark Harris.

So, while a little bedroom cardio can be fun and healthy, it’s not quite the equivalent of a solid hour in the gym! 💪❤️
